Lauren Sanchez brings $8800 Balenciaga coffee cup bag to the fashion house's show at Paris Couture Week 2025 - 9Style
L auren Sanchez has stepped out with a very expensive – and very bizarre – accessory at Paris Couture Week.
Just weeks after marrying the world's fourth richest man Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, Sánchez has been spotted totting around an $8000 coffee cup.
And the strangest part is, it didn't even have a drip of coffee inside.
Sánchez attended the Balenciaga fall 2025 couture show, carrying with her a clutch from the fashion house specifically designed to look like a coffee cup.
To the untrained eye it looks as though the American journalist needed a pick-me-up ahead of the show and simply couldn't find a bin, but those with the kind of money that can afford an $8000 novelty purse would have instantly recognised the piece.
The 9AM Coffee Cup Clutch Bag retails for a whopping $US5750 (approximately $8800) and is available in both black and white.
While most would hope for a purse slightly larger than your average coffee cup, the Balenciaga clutch is actually pretty standard at 10.9cm tall.
The lid of the clutch works as the opening, flipping upwards with a lift-clasp closure.
Made in Italy from leather and brass, the clutch features a simple text that reads "Balenciaga Paris".
For the Balenciaga show, Sánchez paired the clutch with a calf length black coat buttoned all the way to the top.
She popped the collar of her jacket and wore her hair in a half-up-half-down look to reveal a pair of chunky diamond earrings.
She completed the look with some oversized sunglasses and a pair of classic black pumps.
Sánchez tied the knot with Bezos in a lavish, multi-day wedding in Venice, Italy on June 27.
The event was reported to cost around $85 million with a slew of celebrity guests in attendance including Oprah Winfrey, Kylie Jenner and Leonardo DiCaprio.
