K-Pop Kings Reign Supreme: BTS Conquers YouTube's Global & U.S. Charts!

K-pop sensation BTS has made an extraordinary global impact with their record-breaking comeback album, "ARIRANG," and its lead single, "Swim." The group's latest release has created a mighty splash across multiple music charts, demonstrating their unparalleled popularity and dedicated fanbase.

On YouTube, BTS dominated the weekly charts, with "Swim" leading the charge on the Global Top Songs chart, racking up over 83 million global views. In total, an impressive 11 BTS titles featured in the top 100. The single also topped the U.S. Top Songs tally for the week ending March 31, where it was one of five BTS numbers. ARMY in the United States contributed significantly, watching "Swim" more than 6.2 million times during that cycle, nearly two million more views than the next-best track, "Golden" from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, which notably made history as the first K-pop recording to win a best original song Oscar. Beyond the new "ARIRANG" tracks, older hits like BTS’s 2020 anthem “Dynamite” also re-entered the Global chart at No. 81, showcasing the group's enduring appeal, even ahead of their fresh tune “Please” at No. 90. It is important to note that YouTube ceased supplying streaming data to Billboard’s charts, including the U.S. and global charts, effective January 16 for charts dated January 31.

The reunited South Korean septet also achieved unprecedented success on Billboard's prestigious charts. Led by "Swim," BTS debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking their seventh chart-topper. They further asserted their dominance by leading both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, achieving a record-extending eighth No. 1 on each ranking. The group claimed the top nine spots on the Global 200, a feat that ties Taylor Swift for both the most top 10s in a single week and the most titles from No. 1 downwards. Their first studio album of new material since 2020, "ARIRANG," debuted at No. 1 on the U.S.-based Billboard 200 albums chart, marking their seventh time at the summit. Internationally, the collection also topped the Official U.K. Albums Chart and the ARIA Albums Chart.

Streaming giant Spotify also reported groundbreaking achievements for BTS. Following its release on Friday, March 20, Spotify announced that "ARIRANG" had become the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025 so far. Furthermore, it established a new record as the most-streamed K-pop album in Spotify history, cementing BTS’s status as global music icons.
