Ice Spice Shakes Up Paris Fashion Week With 'Baddie Baddie' Twerk Video

Grammy-nominated drill rapper Ice Spice has released her highly anticipated new music video for “Baddie Baddie,” a track that poses the playful question: who is truly serving the most? The visual spectacle features notable guest appearances from supermodel Anok Yai and Olympic gold medalist gymnast Suni Lee, each exuding their unique interpretation of 'baddie energy.' Co-directed by Evil Twins and Ice Spice herself, the video offers a vivid glimpse into Ice's interpretation of the 'baddie blueprint,' chronicling her experiences between New York and Paris Fashion Week.
Throughout the “Baddie Baddie” video, Ice Spice maintains an aura of complete and total control. Viewers see her confidently twerking in stretch limousines, conducting business in luxurious restaurants, and strutting through city streets alongside her entourage. Her wardrobe in the video prominently features designer clothes, with a particular emphasis on Chanel. A significant style evolution is also highlighted, as Ice Spice transitions from her signature ginger hair to a light pink hue, showcased across a variety of styles, including chic asymmetrical bobs and dramatic updos.
Anok Yai and Suni Lee's cameos are described as 'cute,' underscoring their individual charisma. Notably, Anok Yai recently appeared in Doja Cat’s “Gorgeous” music video, which premiered on September 26. This release marks Ice Spice’s first visual project since her reconciliation with fellow artist Latto, a newly-repaired relationship that led to their official collaboration, “Gyatt,” which successfully topped the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
“Baddie Baddie” itself samples M.I.A.’s iconic hit song “Bad Girls” and is Ice Spice’s first solo track since the release of her debut album, 'Y2K!', in July 2024. The album performed well, reaching No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and spawning Hot 100 charting singles such as “Think U the S—t” (No. 37) and “Did It First” (featuring Central Cee, No. 51).
Despite not being in a current album cycle, Ice Spice has had an exceptionally busy year. Her activities over the summer included contributing to KATSEYE’s “Gnarly” remix, securing a role and an original song contribution for an upcoming SpongeBob animated film, and acting in Spike Lee’s production, 'Highest 2 Lowest.' The “Baddie Baddie” music video further solidifies her presence in the music and entertainment industry.
