‘I’ll be disappointed’- Man Utd legend Rio Ferdinand blasts 'Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray'
Ex-England international Rio Ferdinand has expressed his disappointment over Manchester United’s failure to act ahead of Victor Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray.
Ferdinand has been vocal about Man Utd’s need to sign a striker, with Osimhen sitting at the top of his wishlist.
However, multiple reports claim that a move to United is unlikely for Osimhen, as the Super Eagles star is closing on a return to Galatasaray.
This report has now angered Ferdinand, who believes it will be a shame if Osimhen decides to play for the Turkish champions ahead of his darling United.
The former England star revealed this in an interview with talkSport, saying Man Utd should be all over the Super Eagles star, given that he has what it takes to solve the club’s problems in front of goal.
“I'm like a broken record, I think if anyone listens to my record, I've said Osimhen for a while now. He's a centre forward, he's experienced. He knows how to score goals at a top level,” Ferdinand said.

I see today, I think they are saying Galatasaray have put a bid in. £50m to get a top class striker, one of the top strikers in the world, is absolutely peanuts in today's market. So, I'll be disappointed if he goes to Galatasaray for that type of money when Man United are crying out for a number nine,” Ferdinand added.
Despite Ferdinand’s plea, it is very unlikely that Osimhen will turn up at Old Trafford in a Man Utd jersey.
The Super Eagles star is keen on a return to Galatasaray, where he spent last season on loan, winning the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup with the club.
However, a return to Galatasaray is still far from happening as the Yellow-Reds' £50m offer was turned down by Napoli.
According to reports, Napoli will not sell Osimhen for less than £65m, which is the release clause for the Nigerian international.
Should Galatasaray fail to meet Napoli’s offer, Man Utd could land the Nigerian star, although it remains to be seen if he will be interested in a move to Old Trafford.
Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal also remain interested, even though Osimhen has turned them down twice this summer.
