Heat & sunshine on Sunday but clouds may return to city

Bhopal: The day temperature in the city remained close to 40 degrees on Sunday. A possibility of thunder activity and light rain was underlined for parts of the state, including Bhopal.

On Sunday, sunshine could again be seen in the afternoon as cloud cover parted yesterday.The day temperature in Bhopal on Sunday was recorded at 39.1 degrees celsius, two degrees less than the normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 26.9 degrees celsius, which was at the normal mark. Day temperature in Khajuraho was 43.8 degrees celsius.In the forecast for Bhopal on Monday the meteorological dept stated weather would be partly cloudy with chances of thunder development, light rain during late evening hours.

Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees celsius and 26 degrees celsius, while average wind speed will be eighteen kilometers per hour.In the forecast for the state the meteorological dept issued warning of thunderstorm with lightning, gusty wind 40 kmph-50 kmph at isolated places in Bhopal, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore. A warning of heat wave at isolated places was in Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts
