The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, officially announced that she will host the internationally acclaimed K-pop group BTS at the National Palace on Wednesday, May 6. This significant event, confirmed by the president during her morning press conference, is scheduled for 5 p.m. local time at the official residence, which serves as both the workplace and home of the Mexican head of state. In response to the massive public interest and the fervent following of the South Korean group, President Sheinbaum further announced that a balcony at the presidential headquarters, which faces the iconic Zócalo in the Historic Center of Mexico City, will be opened. This will allow the seven members of BTS—RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—to greet their devoted fanbase.
