Giovanny Ayala Rockets to the Top with Historic First Billboard No. 1!

Giovanny Ayala has achieved a significant milestone, securing his first No. 1 spot on a Billboard chart with his single “No Estaba Hablando En Serio.” The track ascended from No. 9 to No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart (dated Nov. 1) after an impressive 35% increase in audience impressions, reaching 6.4 million in the United States during the tracking week of Nov. 17-23, according to Luminate. Released on June 26 under the Colmena/Azteca label, the song claimed the top position in its 16th week, having spent four weeks previously in the top 10.

This chart-topper marks not only Ayala’s first No. 1 but also his inaugural charting entry with Azteca Music Group’s COLMENA Music. Prior to this achievement, Ayala had six entries on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with the Gerencia360 label, including the No. 7-peaking “Quien Se Apunta,” a collaboration with Luis R. Conriquez in 2022. For COLMENA, “No Estaba Hablando En Serio” represents its first No. 1 of 2025 and its second overall, following Los Ángeles de Charly’s “El Tonto,” which topped the chart in 2024. The song is also making significant progress on the broader Latin Airplay chart, jumping from No. 20 to No. 4, thanks to strong support from stations such as KSND (Portland, OR), KLNO (Dallas), and WOJO (Chicago) during the tracking period.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny continues to demonstrate his chart dominance, earning his 30th No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart with “Nuevayol.” The song climbed from No. 5 to No. 1, receiving the weekly Greatest Gainer honors for registering the largest audience increase. “Nuevayol” garnered 7.8 million audience impressions during the tracking week, marking a 30% increase from the previous week. Its ascent sent DY’s “Sonríele” down to No. 10, after a 37% decrease in its audience to 5.7 million. “Nuevayol” is the fifth track from Bad Bunny’s album 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos' to reach the No. 1 position on the Latin Airplay chart, following “El Clúb,” “Baile Inolvidable,” and “EOO” (each dominating for two weeks in February, March, and August, respectively), and “DTMF” (which held the top spot for one week in May).

With a remarkable total of 30 No. 1 hits on Latin Airplay, Bad Bunny is steadily climbing the ranks among artists with the most chart-topping singles since the list’s debut in 1994. The current leaderboard showcases his strong position among other music icons: J Balvin leads with 39 No. 1s, followed by Ozuna with 36, Enrique Iglesias with 32, Bad Bunny with 30, Daddy Yankee with 29, Maluma with 25, and Shakira with 24.
