Previously, the company had confirmed his recovery at home, although specific details regarding his condition were not disclosed. Italian news agencies, however, had reported that he spent several days hospitalized.
In an open letter widely published by various Italian newspapers, Armani expressed profound gratitude for the support he received. “In the last few weeks, I strongly felt the embrace of those who were thinking of me,” he stated. He extended his appreciation to his family, colleagues, employees, the media, and his followers on social media for their unwavering closeness.
On his 91st birthday, he reiterated his thanks, adding, “It wasn’t easy for me not to hear your applause live. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I’ll see you again in September.” His much-anticipated return coincides with the next Milan Fashion Week, which is scheduled to take place from September 23 to September 29.
