FRSC launches new website to improve access to road safety information
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the launch of its redesigned official website as part of its efforts to modernise operations and improve access to road safety services in Nigeria.
According to a statement released by the agency, the upgraded website, accessible at http://frsc.gov.ng, now features a more user-friendly interface, faster load times, improved security, and updated digital tools tailored to the needs of motorists, pedestrians, researchers, and stakeholders across Nigeria and beyond.
The Corps said the platform serves as a central hub for road safety education, traffic regulations, emergency updates, and other critical public services. It described the new design as part of its broader effort to deliver transparent, efficient, and technology-driven services.
The website’s overhaul comes in the wake of its ranking as the best among 315 websites of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the fifth edition of the Federal Government Scorecard. That assessment was conducted by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed said the redesign reflects the Corps’ renewed commitment to digital transformation and public engagement.
“The revamped platform reflects our renewed vision of providing transparent, efficient, and technology-driven road safety services to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora,” he said.
He added that the platform is designed not only for information dissemination but also for public education and interaction. With its intuitive navigation and structured content, users can easily access safety tips, traffic laws, licensing procedures, and updates on ongoing reforms.
The Corps encouraged individuals and organisations seeking credible information on road safety to use the platform, noting that the site was developed with input from subject matter experts to meet current web ranking requirements.
The redesigned website is part of a wider reengineering process within the FRSC aimed at streamlining operations, including the ongoing effort to deliver a fully digital, seamless process for driver’s licence acquisition.
The Corps invited the general public, civil society organisations, academic researchers, and the media to explore the site and utilise the tools available to enhance safety awareness and regulatory compliance on Nigerian roads.
