Fords of Winsford posts record H1 sales performance
Fords of Winsford (FOW) has seen its best sales performance in the company’s 66 year history over the first six months of the year.
FOW’s teams have outsold all previous trading years with over 6,500 cars sold in H1 2025 from its two sites.
FOW has broken new ground thanks to resurgent sales figures at its 14-acre 1000 car hypermarket HQ site at Winsford and nearly 20% growth year on year from its Trafford site.
The business said that Trafford’s figures are “especially pleasing given that this has been achieved before our site expansion in August”, where the site will move from 450 cars to circa 800 cars in stock.
This will make FOW Trafford one of the largest single venue car supermarkets in the Greater Manchester area.
The positive growth could pave the way for a third supermarket location in the future.
FOW said it remains committed to stay true to its family business model where “ethical profit rather than just profit is the driver”.
The group said its main goals are to serve communities, provide high quality jobs to local people and understand when there are problems, they need to listen and then act, not just act.
The used car supermarket said profit is a by-product of keen pricing, customer service and choice.
Its own internal data shows 60% of sales are from repeat customers.
Kevin Cartwright, group general manager at FOW, said: “These are really pleasing results and while we take nothing for granted, we should also celebrate our successes.
“This volume growth will help us retain our excellent team members, giving the business great foundations for further growth full stop.
‘While some have left the car supermarket space recently, we believe in it and are wholly committed to it.
“If our Trafford expansion goes to plan and sales from Winsford remain high, then FOW site three should not be too far away. As a business we have pivoted to growth.”
