First Look: 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid Unveils Its Official Starting Price!

The 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid is set to bridge the gap between the nonhybrid Telluride and the all-electric EV9, finally offering a hybrid option for one of the best three-row SUVs. This new variant addresses a key market need, making the Telluride fully competitive with modern demands.

Pricing for the 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid will start at $48,035 for the EX FWD trim. Unlike its nonhybrid counterpart, the hybrid will not be available in the most basic LX FWD trim. Compared to corresponding nonhybrid models, the Telluride Hybrid carries a premium of exactly $2,700. This additional cost is justified by new technology, a quieter ride, increased power, and improved fuel economy. Kia estimates the EX FWD Hybrid with 18-inch wheels will achieve 35 mpg.

The full breakdown of Telluride Hybrid trims and their associated pricing is as follows: EX FWD at $48,035, EX AWD at $50,035, SX FWD at $53,035, X-Line SX AWD at $56,035, SX-P AWD at $58,135, and X-Line SX-P AWD at $59,135. This strategic pricing positions the hybrid neatly between the nonhybrid Telluride, which starts at $56,545, and the Kia EV9 electric SUV, which extends to $73,545 for its top-tier model.

All Telluride Hybrid models will be equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine complemented by two electric motors. This powertrain delivers a combined output of 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Buyers will have the option of either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.

While driving dynamics, efficiencies, and practicality are expected to carry over from its corporate cousin, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid, the Telluride Hybrid is anticipated to offer comfortable bucket seats and high-quality cabin materials, particularly in its higher trims. The introduction of this model intensifies competition within the three-row hybrid SUV segment, directly challenging rivals such as the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid and the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid.
