Firm partners NSCDC to boost protection of assets, infrastructure
IHS Nigeria has presented two operational vehicles to the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to enhance the Corps’ operational capacity and make the CG’s visit to its office in Lagos memorable.
The Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of IHS Nigeria, Mr Mohamad Darwish, received Dr Audi and his team at its Victoria Island headquarters in Lagos and acknowledged the Corps’ commitment to improving the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in the country.
He also extolled the crucial role the Corps plays in involving the private sector in fulfilling its challenging mandate without compromising ethical standards and procedures.
Darwish urged the Commandant General to continue prioritising the country’s interests, recognising his passion and efforts to eliminate economic saboteurs and vandals hindering national progress, peace, and development.
In his response, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps emphasised the long-standing collaboration between IHS Nigeria and the Corps, expressing his administration’s dedication to supporting private sector organisations that contribute to Nigeria’s socio-economic progress and peace.
He commended the management and staff of IHS Nigeria for their exemplary character and professional service, as well as their significant role in employing about 40,000 individuals.
The highlight of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between IHS Nigeria and NSCDC, reaffirming the commitment of both agencies to protecting CNAI in the country.
The Executive Vice President and CEO of IHS Nigeria also presented two operational vehicles to the Commandant General of NSCDC to enhance the Corps’ operational capacity in safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
The event was attended by several senior officers of NSCDC, including the Acting Deputy Commandant General in charge of CNAI, Dr Eze Benito, the Zonal Commander, Zone 1, Assistant Commandant General Akibo Olusola, among others.
