This remarkable feat was achieved following his 24-point performance that led Argentina to a 75-66 victory over Mali. Kropp's consistent offensive output solidified his place in the tournament's record books for Argentina.

Kropp's scoring spree in the group stage included 23 points on 10-15 shooting against Serbia, 22 points on 8-16 shooting against New Zealand, and a final 24 points on 10-15 shooting against Mali. When informed of matching the record set by legendary player Hector Campana, Kropp expressed humility and focus, stating, "Really? That’s an honor. I don’t really think about that when I play. Obviously that’s amazing, that’s sweet, but I am more focused on winning.”

The only other player to achieve this specific scoring milestone was Hector Campana back in 1983. Campana’s historic run saw him explode for 48, 27, and 52 points in three consecutive outings against Canada, Yugoslavia, and the Dominican Republic, setting a high bar for future generations.
