A legal practitioner, Barrister Dauda Daniel Zhidu, last Thursday, declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship of AMAC slated for February 21, 2026 election.
He said as a legal practitioner with years of experience, he had identified some of the challenges facing the good people of AMAC and was ready to tackle them if given the opportunity.
He said, “It is a clarion call by the good people of AMAC who saw that quality of leadership in me and I have decided to heed to their call to vie for the chairmanship of AMAC come February 21, 2026. And by the grace of God, if given the mandate, we shall tackle the challenges facing the people of AMAC because they deserve more than what they are presently getting.”
He pledged to prioritise rural infrastructure, health and agriculture, adding that girl-child education would also be among his blue prints.
The chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chapter of the All-Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Muktar Abubakar, assured him that the party would be fair to all the aspirants.
