Edo Partners Association Of Chinese Community In Health, Education, Others
The Coordinator, Office of the Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani says the State Government is poised to partner with the Association of the Chinese Community to further enhance healthcare, education, and economic empowerment in the state.
Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani made the declaration while receiving donations of items made by the Chinese delegation at the Government House, Benin City.
The charity donation of health and education supplies to the people by the Association of Chinese community in Edo State, according to her, is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, to the community in the state.
Mrs Anani appreciated the partners for the charity donation, philanthropic spirit and commitment of giving back to the community.
She said, “This noble gesture aligns with Edo State Government’s commitment to community development. We believe that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare and education, which is why we are thrilled to partner with the Association of Chinese Community in Edo State.
“The key areas of focus of our partnership includes Health, Education and Empowerment for obvious reasons.
“The health initiatives will help improve access to medical care and promote healthy living while Education will support programmes that enhances educational outcomes, especially for youths in the rural areas.
“The empowerment aspect is aimed at equipping individuals with skills and knowledge to become self-sufficient.”
The Association of Chinese Community led by the Chairperson, Mrs Nazel Xin expressed the Association’s gratitude to Edo State Government for the confidence reposed in them over the years.
According to her, “we are donating Feminine, academic and healthcare supplies, as well as cash donation to support the welfare of women and girls in Edo State.
“We consider ourselves partners in progress to Edo State Government and we will continue to support the government and people of the State in all areas that we can”
The Association of Chinese Community in Edo State comprises of Nigeria Yongxing Steel Company Limited, Time Ceramic Nigeria Limited, Rongsheng Glass (Nigeria) Limited and Rongtai Industrial Park.
In his remarks, the state Commissioner for health, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole said, “Today’s donation is a testament to the strong relationship between the people of Edo State and our partner Association of Chinese Community in the State.
“Your gesture reflects not only your corporate social responsibility but also a commitment to the development of the Community in which you operate.
“As a government, we remain resolute in our vision to build a healthier, more educated and empowered Edo State.
“The partnership demonstrates the commitment of both the Edo State Government and the Association of Chinese Community in Edo State to improving the lives of Edo residents through collaborative efforts in healthcare, education, and empowerment” he declared.
