Dream Duet Alert! Olivia Rodrigo Teases Stevie Nicks Collaboration for Daisy Chain Festival

Olivia Rodrigo is set to bring her long-held vision of an all-women festival to life with the launch of "Daisy Chain Fields," an inaugural event scheduled for August 29 in Irvine, California. Rodrigo shared her inspiration for the festival's name and concept during a Good Morning America interview, explaining that she pictured girls making daisy chains, flower crowns, or friendship bracelets, embodying the idea of individuals forming a larger, interconnected chain.

All proceeds from the "Daisy Chain Fields" festival will be dedicated to charities that support women and girls, as well as promote reproductive freedom. The star acknowledged Sarah McLachlan's pioneering all-women festival, Lilith Fair from the 1990s, as a significant influence, revealing that McLachlan was the first person she contacted about her festival idea, hailing her as a "total trailblazer and an incredible artist and friend."

The impressive lineup for the festival includes powerhouses such as Chappell Roan, Doechii, KATSEYE, Bikini Kill, Die Spitz, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not for Radio, Quiet Life, Rachel Chinouriri, Stantigold, and the Breeders. Adding to the star-studded roster, Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks are all billed as "special guests." Rodrigo even teased a potential duet with Stevie Nicks on the classic song "Landslide," hinting at the possibility to Diane Sawyer during the interview.

The announcement of "Daisy Chain Fields" closely follows the release of Rodrigo’s third studio album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love." This project, featuring the Billboard Hot 100-topping single “Drop Dead,” achieved remarkable success by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units, marking the biggest opening week of Rodrigo’s career to date.
