The following deaths have occurred:-
The death has occurred of the late Kenneth Reginald Boyde, called home July 12 2025, peacefully at home, 4 Greystone Park, Coleraine, surrounded by his family, beloved husband of Martha, cherished father of Hazel, Richard and Sharon, dear father-in-law of Clement, Ancsa and Graham, loving grandfather of Elissa and Ezra, Grace and Zara and devoted brother of Millicent, Carol and Rosemary and the wider family circle. Funeral service in Ballylintagh Gospel Hall, Moneybrannon Road, Coleraine BT51 3SL on Wednesday, July 16 2025 at 1.00pm followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Friends welcome to call at the family home on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15 2025 from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Family flowers only please donations if desired by making cheques payable to Mr. Timothy Sloan (Ukraine Aid) or Marie Curie c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine, BT52 2BP. Kenneth was much loved and will be remembered and sadly missed by the entire family circle. Psalm 116 vs 15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
The death has taken place of the late Michael Conwell, July 13 2025, beloved husband of the late Lily, loving father of Noeleen, Siobhan, Cathy and J.J. father-in-law of Nolan, Ash, Paul and Judy, dear granda of Shane, Jack, Eden, Matthew and Andrew, son of the late John James and May and dear brother of John, Bernadette, Mary, Lawrence, Katie, Terence, J.P. and the late Jim, Rose, Noel, Gerard, Geraldine, Anne and baby Leo. Funeral arrangements later. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
The death has taken place of Jimmy McDonald, July 12 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of Shipquay Street, formerly of Columbcille Court and Thomas Street), loving father of James, Lizzie and Martin, devoted grandfather of Bailey, Freddy and Amber, dear son of the late Betty McDonald, beloved brother of Denise, and a cherished uncle of Keith, Mairead and Eoin and all his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his cousins, the wider family circle and all his friends. Jimmy will be reposing at his daughter’s home, 6a Columbcille Court. Family time please from 10:00pm to 11:00am. Funeral leaving 6a Columbcille Court on Tuesday, July 15 at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am, followed by a private cremation in Lakelands Cremaorium, Co. Cavan. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
Katherine Porter (née Monie), Coleraine
It is with regret we announce the passing of Katherine Porter (née Monie), passed away peacefully on July 9 2025. Loved by all who knew her but especially her late husband Jim, son David and wife Siobhán, her grandchildren Caitlín, Ruairí and Niamh, her sisters Elizabeth, Christine, Norah, and brother Andrew. Funeral service will be held in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium on Thursday, July 17 2025 at 11.00am. Live streaming on request (enquiries to Ivan Murdock and Sons [email protected]). Family flowers only please. Thank you to all who cared for her. Lovingly remembered.
Anne Rooney (née McGeady), 15 Kerrs Terrace, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Anne Rooney (née McGeady) (Dressmaker), peacefully at her home, 15 Kerrs Terrace on July 12 2025. Beloved wife of Michael. Loving mother of Cara, Catriona, Sinead, Michael, Rachael and Aine. A much loved Granny. Beloved daughter of the late Tony and Josie. Sister of the late Paul and Martin. A dear sister in law. Anne is now reposing at her family home. Funeral from her home on Tuesday at 11.00am to St Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
