Caitlin Clark should be embraced as the “Cash cow” of the WNBA, and the league’s players and officials should start embracing this fact rather than resisting it with hate. Or at least, this is how one women’s basketball star sees the topic.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports , basketball legend Nancy Lieberman got honest about her take on the situation of the “Caitlin Clark hate” that she thinks the league should stop on.

According to Lieberman, the league and its players should instead take advantage of Clark being a “cash cow,”: rather than resisting it.

“If she happens to be the cash cow right now, embrace it. Don’t be petty. She’s the best guard in the league right now. Her numbers have proven it.”

In the interview, the basketball legend also praised other standout players in the league like Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, and all the other veterans in the league, but she highlighted how al the players should start supporting each other rather than hating on each other.

“Just go out and ball,” Lieberman added. “Play the game!”

Lieberman made this “stop the pettiness” statement in light of the recent set of issues that has plagued Caitlin Clark this season. Her comment, in particular, came after player votes for Caitlin Clark only ranked her as the 9th top guard in the league, despite fan votes placing her on the top.

For Lieberman, as well as for other analysts and fans alike, the huge gap in player and fan votes show the difference in how Clark is viewed by the fans versus how she is viewed by her fellow players in the league.

Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers recently finally met each other in a game, as the indian Fever and the Dallas Wings recently met for a match.

Prior to playing ball against each other, the two former college superstars shared their thoughts about each other.

“I think if you asked both of us how life could’ve panned out, nobody could’ve expected it to be like this,” Bueckers said of Clark and herself. “We’re very grateful. We’re very blessed to be able to play and be in this position that we are.”

“She just plays way older than she is,” Clark said of Bueckers. “She’s confident. She’s smooth. She just does everything at a high level. Can score from all three levels, and that’s how she’s always played. And that’s obviously translated really well. Everybody knew that it would.”

During the game, Caitlin Clark scored 14 points, 13 assists, and 5 steals.
