Davido Releases ‘Already Falling’ Music Video Featuring Wife Chioma

Afrobeats star Davido has released the official music video for ‘Already Falling’, featuring his wife, Chioma Adeleke, in a romantic production that revisits their relationship through music and visuals.

Released on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the video was directed by Meji Alabi, who also directed Davido’s 2018 hit ‘Assurance’. The cinematic production combines European chateau scenery with Nigerian-inspired styling, following the couple through intimate and elaborate scenes before reaching a lakeside moment in which Davido kneels and presents Chioma with a ring.

Announcing the release online, the singer wrote: “Already Falling. From us to you. Enjoy.” The video opens with Davido arriving at a French chateau in a horse-drawn carriage, with dancers, elaborate costumes, and grand interiors shaping its romantic atmosphere. Chioma appears in a gold-and-black gown, while other scenes show the couple in a red convertible and at a gathering featuring Martell, a brand with which Davido has maintained a longstanding partnership.

The visual narrative culminates beside a lake at dusk, where the singer opens a red ring box before his wife; however, the scene is a cinematic recreation of a proposal rather than an announcement of a new engagement, as the couple is already married. The closing sequence features them in traditional-inspired attire, echoing an earlier portrait of a Black royal couple shown in the video.

‘Already Falling’ is the eighth track on Davido’s sixth studio album, Oriadé, released on July 31, 2026, and continues the romantic storytelling he established with ‘Assurance’, which he dedicated to Chioma in 2018. Chioma also appeared in the wedding-themed video for his 2020 song ‘1 Milli’, making the latest release another chapter in the couple’s musical story.

The new track blends English, Yoruba, and Nigerian Pidgin in a playful declaration of affection and commitment, while drawing inspiration from Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.

Produced by Classic and Sensei, with Peruzzi contributing background vocals, the song was released through Davido Music Worldwide and Sony Music and has reached No. 9 on the Official UK Afrobeats Songs Chart. Chioma’s appearance has also attracted attention from fans who had called for her inclusion in the official visuals.
