Concert Shock: Lady Gaga Halts Show Mid-Performance After Dancer Falls On Stage in Australia

Pop superstar Lady Gaga dramatically paused her Mayhem Ball concert at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Saturday, December 12, after an unexpected incident involving one of her dancers. During her performance of "Garden of Eden," dancer Michael Dameski accidentally slipped and fell off the stage. Fan-recorded videos circulated on X (formerly Twitter) show Dameski gliding off the edge of the stage, which reportedly became slick due to heavy rainfall at the open-air venue, according to TMZ.
Immediately upon witnessing the fall, the 39-year-old artist halted the show to personally check on her performer, a gesture that was met with widespread applause from the concerned audience. Reports from fans on social media further indicated that Lady Gaga maintained the pause long enough to assist Dameski in finding shoes with improved grip, demonstrating her dedication to her team's safety and well-being during the live performance.
Following the concert, Michael Dameski took to social media to reassure fans about his condition. He shared a video on his Instagram Story, showing himself dancing in what appeared to be a hotel bathroom, accompanied by animated rain effects, confirming that he had not sustained any injuries. In his caption, Dameski expressed gratitude: “Hey everyone! I’m ok. Thank you for checking. Happy I was able to finish the last show of the year!” He later added, in a second clip featuring his performance during the concert, "The show must go on!"
The Sydney dates at Accor Stadium, which concluded on Sunday, December 13, marked the final shows of Lady Gaga's Mayhem Ball Tour for 2025. Michael Dameski is confirmed to rejoin the tour when it resumes its international leg in Tokyo in January 2026. This particular tour represented a significant shift for Lady Gaga, as it marked her return to performing in arenas, contrasting with her previous stadium-only tour, The Chromatica Ball (2022), and the mixed stadium and arena format of the Joanne World Tour (2017–18).
Financially, the Mayhem Ball Tour has been a considerable success. Lady Gaga secured the No. 12 spot on Billboard’s 2025 year-end top tours list. The tour impressively grossed $166.2 million and attracted a total of 722,000 concertgoers across 35 shows. These figures, reported to Billboard Boxscore, encompass all worldwide performances conducted between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025.
