Chhattisgarh High Court Unveils Digitisation Centre for Paperless Justice | Raipur News - The Times of India
RAIPUR: A significant and concrete step was taken towards realising the concept of a paperless court, transparent and speedy justice in Chhattisgarh with the inauguration of the "Digitisation Centre" in the High Court.
The centre was inaugurated by Chief Justice
Ramesh Sinha
, symbolising the commitment to advancing the digitisation of documents and modernising court operations.
Chief Justice Sinha expressed that today is the time of technology and virtual hearings. “We successfully conducted case hearings through virtual means during COVID 19, and today, taking a significant step towards paperless courts, the Digitisation Centre is being inaugurated.
The documents of pending cases will be digitised in this centre, through which we will be able to realise the concept of paperless courts,” the Chief Justice said while inaugurating the centre.
The Chief Justice reiterated that digitising documents is a crucial and sensitive task. It is imperative to ensure that no document is overlooked during the digitisation process and that records from different cases do not get mixed up, as this could lead to serious consequences.
He also stressed the importance of completing the digitisation process efficiently and urged everyone to work diligently to meet the timelines.
While acknowledging that technology has its advantages and challenges, the Chief Justice emphasised the need to leverage technology for the betterment of the judiciary, enhancing transparency and the delivery of prompt justice.
