Published 2 months ago2 minute read

Vancouver Bandits (CEBL) signed 33-year old Australian ex-international swingman Mitch Creek (196cm-90kg-1992). It is actually his comeback to Bandits as he has played here before. He moved there from Trabzonspor in Turkish TBL league, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. In 21 TBL games he had very impressive stats: 21.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg last season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week. The last season summer he played at Bandits (ncouver Bandits (Canada-CEBL): 8 games: 26.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.4apg, FGP: 53.7%, 3PT: 34.3%, FT: 79.2%). He also played for Atleticos (BSN) in Puerto Rican league.
Creek was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. He played for Australian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019 and previously for the Under 22 National Team in 2015.
Creek also represented Australia at the World Cup in China six years ago. Creek's team got to the Semifinals and he had almost 3 points per game.
He is quite experienced player. Creek has played in nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously in China (Flying Tigers), Germany (BG Goettingen), Puerto Rico (Mets), NBA (Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves), Australia (Adelaide 36ers, Spectres, Noarlunga City Southern Tigers, Australian Institute Sport and South Adelaide Panthers), NBA G League (Long Island Nets), The Basketball Tournament (Money Team) and NBA Summer League (Minnesota Timberwolves).
Among many awards his team won CEBL Western Conference Regular Season in 2024. Creek was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention back in 2017.
