Caitlin Clark's Boyfriend Had No Words for Indiana Fever's Post on Saturday
After missing five games due a left quadriceps strain, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark returns to play against the New York Liberty on June 14.
Clark told reporters last week, "I'm not going to rush my come back. It’s just not worth it. I’ll be reevaluated and we’ll have a better idea of when I’ll return.”
The Fever enter Saturday's matchup 4-5 on the season and went 2-3 without the league's Rookie of the Year suiting up. Most recently, Indiana took a 77-58 beatdown by the Atlanta Dream.
Getting a win against the Liberty not only keeps Indiana in contention for the Commissioner's Cup, but they could also get huge confidence boost handing New York (9-0) their first loss of the season.
While working toward her return, Clark, along with numerous of her Fever teammates, supported the Indiana Pacers during their historic run to the 2025 NBA Finals.
The Pacers held a perfect playoff record with Clark in attendance until their 111-104 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 on Friday night. Now, the Pacers are 8-1 with Clark at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the playoffs.
Speaking to reporters before taking on the Liberty, Clark spoke highly of Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, which caught her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery's attention.
McCaffery, who celebrated his two-year anniversary with the superstar guard in April, and spent the 2023-24 season as the Basketball Development Coordinator for the Pacers, shared the video clip on his Instagram Stories without comment.
Clark sad, "I don't think Rick gets enough credit for what he's been able to do. Obviously, one of the best coaches of all time. Has a great basketball mind. And the way they play basketball -- not a lot of people still play that way in today's world.
"If you turn on and watch the Pacers, it's unselfish, they play for each other, they play uptempo, they do things the right way. Whether your'e a starter or you're coming off the bench, you're giving everything you can to your team."
