Caitlin Clark's Boyfriend Had One Word for Indiana Fever Star After Liberty Game

Published 19 hours ago2 minute read

With a final score of 102-88, the Indiana Fever defeated the New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon, destroying the Liberty's 9-0 undefeated streak.

Fever guard Caitlin Clark had an incredible game and a strong comeback after she was sidelined for three weeks due to a strain on her left quadriceps. In the 31 minutes of playing time she had, the guard scored 32 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, two blocks and shot seven three-pointers.

Plus, Indiana delivered one of their most dominant performances of the 2025 WNBA season on Saturday afternoon. Minutes after the game ended, the Fever announced that the team set a franchise record with 17 three-pointers in one game.

To celebrate one of the Fever's best games this season and their win against the Liberty, Clark posted many of her action shots on Instagram with the caption, "good to be back."

Eleven minutes after the post was shared, Connor McCaffery, Clark's longtime boyfriend and an assistant coach for the men's basketball team at Butler University, commented "BELLA!!!!!" on her Instagram post, which is the Spanish word for "beautiful."

Both Clark and McCaffery have been very supportive of each other throughout their athletic careers. They both met while they were student-athletes at Iowa, where McCaffery played for the men's basketball team. Though they started dating in April 2023, they went public with their relationship in August 2023.

Despite their busy schedules, it seems that the couple remains active in each other's lives, attending events and sharing moments on social media.

The Fever will be playing against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. ET.
