Buzz for 'Toy Story 5'! Funko Teases New Looks and Mystery Packs for Major Sequel!

As Pixar's highly anticipated "Toy Story 5" prepares to hit theaters on June 19, an array of new merchandise is being rolled out, exciting fans and collectors alike. Among the leading offerings are the officially-licensed Funko Pop figurines and Funko Mystery Mini Packs, which introduce both returning beloved characters and new intriguing additions to the "Toy Story" universe.
The latest collection of Funko Pop figurines features fresh renditions of iconic characters. Woody, the beloved cowboy, is depicted sporting a child-sized bandana worn as a cape in the new movie. Buzz Lightyear, the intrepid space ranger, appears in his signature suit, notably without his clear helmet. Jessie, the energetic cowgirl, is captured in a dynamic pose, springing to action in her classic outfit, red hair, and Western hat. Each of these vinyl figures measures approximately 3.75 inches in size and is presented in a numbered, window-pane box, perfect for display and collecting. These figures are available for order now on Amazon, with a release date of June 10, and are priced at $14.88 each.
Adding to the excitement are several new characters making their debut in "Toy Story 5" and concurrently in the Funko Pop series. Lilypad is introduced as the main protagonist, a mysterious smart tablet designed to resemble a frog, which may or may not be attempting to control children's lives. Another new face is Smarty Pants, an electronic potty-training toy humorously voiced by comedian Conan O’Brien. Jessie's loyal horse, Bullseye, also returns as a crucial member of the squad and receives a special Funko Pop Premium release. This Bullseye figure, measuring approximately 3.75 inches in height and five inches in width, comes mounted on a display stand in a horizontal box, available for $19.54.
Beyond individual figures, Funko and Pixar are tapping into the popular blind box trend with "Toy Story 5" Funko Mystery Mini Packs. Each blind box offers one random figure from the film, measuring around 3.4 inches. Collectors have the chance to find 12 unique characters, including rare pulls like Sticky Hand and the pet pig belonging to Blaze, a new friend of Jessie introduced in the movie. For the most dedicated collectors, super rare chase pulls feature Forky and Karen Beverly, also known as "Knifey." Individual mystery packs are available for sale on Amazon for $6.98.
The film itself promises an engaging narrative, with Tim Allen and Tom Hanks reprising their roles. Early hints suggest that "Toy Story 5" will largely focus on the character of Jessie, who was first introduced in "Toy Story 2" and is voiced by Joan Cusack. The introduction of new characters like Lilypad, Smarty Pants, and Blaze's pet pig further enriches the beloved animated franchise, promising fresh adventures for its long-time fans.
