Nassau County police arrested a 15-year-old shortly after midnight Friday for allegedly stabbing and killing a man in Mineola.

Nassau police officers responded to a 911 call at 12:29 a.m. Friday regarding a stabbing at a residence on Roosevelt Place, the department said in a news release. When they arrived, officers discovered a 32-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen, the release reads.

The man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Homicide Squad detectives said.

Nassau police arrested a 15-year-old boy without incident at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder, according to the release. The teen is expected to appear at the Youth Section of First District Court on Saturday for his arraignment.

The release did not state if either the victim or the 15-year-old lived at the residence, nor did it explain any relationship between them.
