DERA Basketball Nymburk (NBL) hired experienced 54-year-old Israeli coach Oren Amiel for the new 2025-26 season. It is actually his comeback to Nymburk as he used to coach here before. He coached last season at Kawasaki Brave Thunders in the Japanese league.
He has coached in the Czech Republic, Germany (Bamberg), and Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem).
Amiel's team reached the German Bundesliga Cup Final Four in 2024. He was also named Eurobasket.com All-Basketball Champions League Coach of the Year in 2020.
