The 2025 Summer Reading Program is just around the corner. The theme for this year is Color Our World!
We have a special lineup this year including 3 special Saturday programs. Join us on Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m. for the Summer Reading Kickoff Party. Sign up for the summerreadingprogramand win some prizes! There will be bounce houses, crafts, games, refreshments, and lots of fun!
For all of you Texas History buffs out there, the library will be hosting author, Ben H. English May 30th at 6:00 p.m. for a reading and book discussion.
An eighth-generation Texan, Ben H. English was raised mostly in the Big Bend area and attended a one room schoolhouse in Terlingua.
He served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years, taught a Criminal Justice program at the high school level and retired after 22 years as a trooper in the Texas Highway Patrol. He is also an honors graduate of Angelo State University with a BA in Government.
Currently he lives in Alpine and writes on a variety of subjects.
Thursday, June 5th at 10:30 a.m. Illusions by Blake Magic Show. This is sure to be a favorite for the whole family!
Thursday, June 12t at 10:30 a.m. Puppet Show: Pecos Bill. Come see the original Texas cowboy, Pecos Bill as he rides the twister, befriends the rattlesnake, howls with the coyote, invents the very first rodeo, tames the wild mustang, herds the cattle, carves out the Rio Grande River, and then he faces a real challenge when he meets up with the bodacious Slue Foot Sue.

Saturday, June 21st at 10:30 a.m. join us for a fantastic art program with Alamo Ranch Board & Brush. Preregistration is required.
Thursday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Mark Twisty Art. This is a must-see storytelling production with amazing balloon creations.
Thursday, July 10th at 10:30 a.m. the library will be hosting Daniel G. Benes Incredible Science Show!
Thursday,July17that10:30 a.m. Happy Tails Animal Sanctuary ofBoernewillbepresenting a reptile show and petting zoo for children of all ages!
Back by popular demand on Saturday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. the library will be hosting an ArtBeat program. Preregistration is required.
