Ariana Grande Abandons Major TV Series After Decade Hiatus!

Ariana Grande, widely recognized for her pop superstardom, has cultivated a notable acting career that predates her musical success. She initially rose to prominence on Nickelodeon sitcoms such as *Victorious* and *Sam and Cat*, demonstrating her early talent on screen. After a period dedicated primarily to her highly successful musical endeavors, Grande has recently made a significant return to acting, notably with acclaimed performances as Galinda/Glinda in the *Wicked* film adaptation and its forthcoming sequel, *Wicked: For Good*.

While her big-screen presence has been growing, her small-screen appearances have been less frequent in recent years. A decade ago, she held a lead role in the first season of Ryan Murphy's slasher comedy *Scream Queens*. There were plans for her to reunite with Murphy in the horror genre, specifically for the upcoming 13th season of *American Horror Story*. However, reports confirm that Grande will no longer be part of the show's cast for its unlucky 13th season.

The reason for her departure stems from scheduling conflicts. Grande's ongoing *Eternal Sunshine Tour* made it impossible for her to accommodate the filming schedule for *American Horror Story*. She reportedly left the production before principal photography began, and it remains undecided whether her role will be recast or simply written out of the season's narrative.

Despite Grande's exit, Ryan Murphy's enduring horror anthology series will proceed with its 13th installment, set to premiere on September 24 on FX and Hulu. This season is anticipated to feature a haunted house theme and bring back numerous actors from previous seasons, with many reprising their iconic characters. Confirmed returning cast members include John Carroll Lynch as the grotesque Twisty the Clown, Angela Bassett as the voodoo queen Marie Laveau, Emma Roberts as aspiring witch Madison, Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie, and Sarah Paulson as the senior sorceress Cordelia Goode. Additionally, Murphy regulars such as Jessica Lange, Paul Anthony Kelly, Kathy Bates, and John Waters are also slated to appear, promising a star-studded ensemble.

Beyond *Wicked*, Grande has another major acting project on the horizon. She is set to star in the comedy sequel *Focker-in-Law*, alongside veteran actors Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, and several returning cast members from the *Meet the Parents* franchise. In this film, Grande will portray an FBI negotiator who is the bride-to-be of Henry Focker, played by Skyler Gisondo. The movie is scheduled for release in theaters on November 25.
