Alperen Sengun Snubbed from All NBA Team

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun had an outstanding season, earning his first All-Star selection and establishing himself as one of the league's premier centers. Sengun averaged 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. He ranked 16th in NBA voting, narrowly missing an All-NBA team selection, with 40 third-place votes and 8 second-place votes. The Houston Rockets finished with the second-best record in the Western Conference.
In his fourth year, Sengun's offensive versatility presents a significant challenge for opponents. His skillset includes a reliable mid-range jumper, an improving three-point shot, and a variety of post moves, forcing defenders to adapt. Beyond scoring, Sengun contributes with strong screens and precise outlet passes, showcasing his high basketball IQ.
Sengun's impact extends to the defensive end, where he serves as a rim protector, vocal leader, and rebounder, forming the core of the Rockets' interior defense. Head coach Ime Udoka and the Rockets organization have indicated that they are building the team around Sengun and Jalen Green. With his trajectory, Sengun is expected to earn All-NBA honors in the future.
