Allegiant Announces Five New Routes with One-Way Fares

Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) has announced the addition of five new nonstop routes serving eight cities across the United States. To commemorate this expansion, the company is offering promotional one-way fares starting as low as $39 on these new routes. The routes, scheduled to launch this fall, will provide the only nonstop service between the specified cities. Additionally, the airline has introduced an intrastate route for travelers within Tennessee.

Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, stated that this expansion is designed to cater to passengers and communities that the airline believes have been underserved by other carriers. Allegiant's business model focuses on connecting small-to-medium sized cities to vacation destinations, thereby creating accessible travel options in markets that may otherwise be overlooked. The airline emphasizes the convenience of nonstop flights departing from local airports.

The new routes include:

  • South Bend, Indiana (SBN) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida, beginning August 29, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $59.
  • Memphis, Tennessee (MEM) to McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Tennessee, beginning September 4, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $39.
  • Key West, Florida (EYW) to McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Tennessee, beginning October 3, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $49.
  • Appleton, Wisconsin (ATW) to Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF) in Alabama, beginning October 2, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $59.
  • Des Moines, Iowa (DSM) to Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF) in Alabama, beginning October 3, 2025, with one-way fares as low as $59.

Allegiant's leisure-focused business model centers around operating a network of nonstop, point-to-point flights to enhance the air travel experience. This approach aims to minimize time spent at airports and maximize vacation time.

In addition to these new routes, Allegiant is offering limited-time flights to Las Vegas for the NFL season. These flights are designed to provide football fans with a convenient way to attend games. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The limited-time routes to Las Vegas via Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) include:

  • Chicago (MDW) to Las Vegas for the Bears vs. Raiders game in Week 4, with departures on September 26 and returns on September 29.
  • Nashville, Tennessee (BNA) to Las Vegas for the Titans vs. Raiders game in Week 6, with departures on October 10 and returns on October 13.
  • Akron, Ohio (CAK) to Las Vegas for the Browns vs. Raiders game in Week 12, with departures on November 21 and returns on November 24.
