Alexander Brothers Scandal: Lawyers Fight Assault Claims as More Women Come Forward

Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, prominent brothers known as luxury real estate moguls in Miami and New York City, are facing grave accusations of rape and sexual assault from over 60 victims, including a minor. These alleged incidents date back to 2009. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges and vehemently deny any wrongdoing, currently being held without bail at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial in January 2026.
Their legal team, attorneys Edward O’Donnell and Joel Denaro, contend that the claims made by the accusers, their personal injury lawyers, and prosecutors may be fabricated. O’Donnell highlighted the unusual timing of the accusations, stating, “It is no coincidence that for 10, 15 years, not one person had ever accused these brothers of ever doing anything inappropriate, and all of a sudden, at one time, in the same exact window frame, every single person that you’ve heard of that has accused the Alexander brothers of assaulting them came through a personal injury lawsuit trying to sue them for money.” Denaro further questioned the “mathematical possibilities” of all accusers coming forward simultaneously, none having initially approached law enforcement directly, with legal action typically initiating through personal injury lawyers, thereby involving law enforcement later.
The defense also emphasizes the purported lack of physical evidence. O’Donnell asserts there is “zero [physical] evidence from any of the accusers that I’m aware of,” as they allegedly did not go to the hospital for rape kits. He reiterated, “There’s zero evidence whatsoever that the assaults occurred.” O’Donnell also cited a December 2024 email from an alleged victim to a prosecutor, inquiring about recommendations for lawyers in Miami handling the Alexander brothers’ case, explicitly stating, “I would like to sue.” The defense maintains that this demonstrates the accusers' primary motivation is financial. The District Attorney’s office clarified that their response providing names and emails of lawyers was “a response to a direct question, not a referral.”
Conversely, prosecutors allege that Oren, 39, Alon, 38, and his twin brother Tal “worked together and with others known and unknown to repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault and rape dozens of victims” between 2009 and 2021, allegedly promising women luxury experiences in exchange for sex. Miami Herald reporter Ana Claudia Chacin, who has interviewed several alleged victims, noted that the stories are “eerily similar,” describing incidents where women were
