As his grieving family prepares for his burial, his friends and colleagues have continued to honour his memory, sharing the joyful moments they spent with him.

A video shared on TikTok captured the slain teacher and blogger dancing with friends during a school event in Malindi, where he worked as a teacher.

Albert, dressed in a white jersey with his name printed on it, brown khaki trousers, and brown-and-black sports shoes, was seen moving rhythmically to the beat of the music.

He was also speaking on the phone while his two friends danced nearby, enjoying the music.

The two showcased their impressive dance moves as they waited for Albert to finish his call and join them fully in enjoying the Luo music playing in the background.

The short video clip touched many netizens, who shared messages of condolence with his friends and family, while others joined in mourning him.

The popular X blogger was arrested while having lunch with his family on Saturday, June 6, at his father's compound in Kabondo Kasipul, Homa Bay county.

He was accused of allegedly insulting the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat.

Albert was taken to Mawego Police Station and later moved to Nairobi Central Police Station, where he died under unclear circumstances.

Police initially claimed he had hit his head on the wall and died. However, a post-mortem examination revealed he had been physically assaulted and had suffered blunt force trauma to the head, which led to his death.

The revelation sparked national outrage, with many Kenyans demanding justice and calling for the resignation of the deputy police chief.

"If Baba Ojwang' had not followed him to the police station, we would have just heard he went missing, and the police would have said he escaped from the cell. RIP Ojwang'."

Lastborn:

"Yaani kusema tu ukweli, Albert ndiye marehemu wa kwanza ambaye sijasikia sifa yake mbaya."

Mike Senior:

"They killed my fellow Manchester United fan. But the good thing is, they won’t always be in power."

Jackline:

"So he was a champion... the people who killed him must have been very strong to overpower him. If they were just average people, he would have dealt with them – but it seems they were many."

Favor & Grace:

"You decide you won’t cry again, then boom ,you come across his video. I don’t know if we’ll ever heal from this."

Karre:

"Albert, your death has pained so many in Kenya and beyond. We are united in grief... it shows you were a favoured child of God. You are indeed a martyr. So sorry for what you went through. Do not rest easy until justice is served."

In related news, reported that Meshack Ojwang’, the father of the slain blogger, dismissed the arrest of junior officers linked to his son’s death.

Meshack blamed Deputy Inspector General Lagat, stating that he should be held responsible as he ordered the arrest of his son.

He said the arrest of Constable James Mukhwana and Central Police Station OCS Samson Talam was insufficient and accused the top police leadership of evading accountability.
