Given the death of his son, Meshack probably thought no one would celebrate him on that holiday again, but the young men and women were glad to do it.

They did not go there empty-handed but arrived bearing shopping bags and in large numbers to make Mzee Meshack happy.

Nairobi, Kenya: A group of young people touched Kenyans by going to console slain Albert Ojwang's father on Father's Day, when he truly felt the absence of his dear son.

Ojwang was a family man who loved his wife and child; he also took great care of his parents and grandmother, who openly wailed for him after learning of his death.

The young man's life, however, was cut short after he was allegedly killed at the Central Police Station, and later his body was taken to the Nairobi Funeral Home. That is where it was confirmed that Ojwang did not take his life but was a victim of police brutality.

The death of Ojwang shattered his family, and his father has been seen weeping in pain, which broke many hearts in Kenya. Father's Day was a poignant reminder of what had happened to the only person in their world who called him father.

It was not lost on Kenyans, and more so for young Gen Zs, as they did not just sympathise with him; they took another step and visited him, providing him with goodies.

The young ones arrived at the place where Meshack Ojwang was staying on a bus, indicating that quite a number had come to visit the middle-aged man.

They disembarked from the bus carrying shopping bags—an aspect of the visit that touched many people.

"This wonderful morning, we arrived at the home of Albert Ojwang to celebrate him. Happy Father's Day," read the caption of the video.
