A Perfect Farewell: Ridley Scott's 10/10 Horror Miniseries Ends!
Legendary director Ridley Scott is poised for a major sci-fi comeback in 2026 with his new film, The Dog Stars, featuring a star-studded cast. Beyond the big screen, Scott remains active in television, producing shows like Alien: Earth and overseeing the conclusion of the horror series The Terror: Devil in Silver, which delves into a psychiatric hospital's demonic chaos.
After a relatively quiet 2025, legendary director Ridley Scott is set to make a significant return to the science fiction genre in 2026 with his new film, The Dog Stars. This marks Scott's first venture into sci-fi since 2017's Alien: Covenant, and he has assembled an impressive ensemble cast for the project. Jacob Elordi, Margaret Qualley, and Josh Brolin have all been recruited for key roles in the film, which is slated to hit theaters on August 28.
Scott's recent work has seen him heavily involved in television productions. Last year, he served as an executive producer for Alien: Earth, expanding his influence within the 'Alien' universe. He also produced and directed episodes of the Apple TV crime thriller, Dope Thief, which stars Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura, showcasing his versatility across genres.
Furthermore, Scott has been a head producer on the horror series The Terror: Devil in Silver, which is currently concluding its run. The anthology series, written and created for television by Chris Cantwell and author Victor LaValle, originally premiered its first two seasons as 'The Terror' in 2018 and 2019. It made its official return earlier this year under the new banner, 'Devil in Silver', with Dan Stevens leading the final season.
The Terror: Devil in Silver distinguishes itself from past seasons, which focused on a British naval expedition trapped in ice. This third and final season presents a new, gripping story where protagonist Pepper finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, a place for society's forgotten. Pepper quickly discovers that his only path to escape involves confronting a demon that thrives amidst the chaos within the hospital's walls. Collider is partnering with AMC+ to provide an exclusive sneak peek at the series finale before its arrival this Thursday. The official description for the final episode reveals that a major storm is approaching, attacks are escalating, and flashbacks show Arnold sacrificing everything for Dorry. With power out and everyone trapped, Pepper must confront the resident evils, facing off against Dr. Walter, while Miss Chris looks out for Loochie.
