One heartbreaking story was cut from Star Wars: The Clone Wars 11 years ago, but I'm convinced it's actually critical to Star Wars movies and TV shows. The Clone Wars was a major addition to Star Wars, as it shed new light on this critical era of the Star Wars timeline and considerably fleshed out several key characters.
In fact, while Anakin Skywalker's Star Wars timeline has long dominated the movies, The Clone Wars explored and explained his fall so much more. Yet, .

In a cut scene from The Clone Wars, Anakin and Obi-Wan discussed Ahsoka Tano leaving the Jedi Order and how that decision hurt Anakin. During that conversation, Obi-Wan replied, "Not very well, I imagine. Luckily, that isn't true and never will be."
Of course, there's a horrible irony behind these lines, as Anakin would not only go on to 'fail' Obi-Wan but also would do so in a way much graver than Ahsoka. After all, whereas Ahsoka left the Order by choice, Anakin fell to the dark side and became one of Star Wars' most powerful Sith.
Although Obi-Wan went through numerous horrific tragedies in Star Wars, including seeing both his Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, and the woman he loves, Satine Kryze, cut down by the same Sith, the loss of Anakin to the dark side of the Force was clearly gutting—so much so that, 10 years later, Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed how much he still felt.
Had The Clone Wars kept this scene, it would have provided the very moment that haunted Obi-Wan for all those years. In fact, this would have made the already very emotionally-charged scene in Obi-Wan Kenobi in which Anakin/Darth Vader tells Obi-Wan "I am not your failure" even more profound.

This cut scene really is such an important moment in terms of understanding Obi-Wan's character, and I sincerely hope it will appear in some other Star Wars project. While that may seem unlikely, . In the show's first season, Obi-Wan already experienced a flashback sequence between him and Anakin.

Revenge Of The Sith's Biggest Anakin & Obi-Wan Problem Was Fixed By This Smart Clone Wars Retcon
One aspect of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker's story had been confusing since Revenge of the Sith, but this Clone Wars retcon fixed it.
It would make perfect sense for this particular memory to resurface for Obi-Wan, and, especially given the rumors about Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2, that seems like a possibility. While I remain disappointed that this story was cut from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I hope it can be brought back in another Star Wars project.
