Yellowstone Spin-Off Conquers Global Streaming, Crowned World's Top Show!

Taylor Sheridan is actively expanding his signature franchise, Yellowstone, even as his legendary tenure at Paramount nears its end and the flagship show concluded in 2024. Prior to the end of Yellowstone, Sheridan had already launched two critically acclaimed prequels, 1883 and 1923, which delved into the history of the Dutton family.
The post-Yellowstone era has continued this aggressive expansion with new followup series. Initially, there were reports that Sheridan's series The Madison would be set within the same universe, but following news of his departure from Paramount in 2029, it was confirmed that The Madison had no ties to the Yellowstone franchise.
However, other new shows have indeed expanded the universe. The latest is Dutton Ranch, set to premiere on Paramount+ in just over one week, on May 15. This highly anticipated series will feature characters from the original Yellowstone flagship show, including Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, alongside new cast members Annette Bening, Ed Harris, and Jai Courtney. Dutton Ranch is expected to take over as the platform's leading series within the Yellowstone universe.
Marshals, a prequel to Yellowstone, is proving that ratings and reviews don’t always align.
The series, which premiered March 1 on CBS, follows Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton in a more traditional crime procedural format. That shift hasn’t landed well critically, with a 42% critics’ score and 27% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Despite this,Marshalshas remained one of the most watched titles on Paramount+ for over 60 days, according to FlixPatrol highlighting strong viewer demand.
The result: a Season 2 renewal, underscoring a simple industry reality viewership still trumps critical
Beyond these series, the broader Taylor Sheridan Universe continues to captivate audiences with its brutal, complicated worlds built on power, loyalty, and the price of survival.
Sheridan is known for writing characters who are not traditional heroes but rather individuals who do what is necessary and live with the consequences. An interactive quiz, 'Which Taylor Sheridan Show Do You Belong In?', invites fans to discover their place within four distinct worlds: Yellowstone, Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown.
The quiz maps fans to differentTaylor Sheridanworlds based on mindset and values.
Yellowstonereflects fierce loyalty protecting land, legacy, and family at all costs. Landman aligns with sharp, unsentimental dealmakers thriving in high stakes environments.
Tulsa King, through Dwight Manfredi, represents resilience and earning respect in unfamiliar territory, while Mayor of Kingstown captures those navigating broken systems and moral grey areas.
At its core, the quiz reveals how viewers relate to power, loyalty, and survival.
