Witches Unite! 'Practical Magic 2' Trailer Drops, Reuniting Bullock & Kidman for Magical Sequel

Warner Bros. has officially released the trailer for "Practical Magic 2," confirming the highly anticipated return of Nicole Kidman as Gillian Owens and Sandra Bullock as Sally Owens.
The sequel, which reunites the beloved Owens sisters nearly 28 years after their last magical pursuits, is set to arrive in theaters this fall on September 11, 2026, following its debut preview to attendees at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
It was directed by Susanne Bier, known for her work on Bullock's "Bird Box" and Kidman's "The Perfect Couple," "Practical Magic 2" promises to immerse audiences once more in a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic.
The Owens sisters must confront a formidable dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all, making it a must-see cinematic event filled with fun, magic, and mayhem.
The film's narrative sees Sally with adult daughters now starting lives of their own, while Gilly has settled into a cozy existence with a black cat.
However, trouble soon finds them, as Lee Pace's mystery character pulls the sisters from their quaint New England town into a dramatic assignment.
Adding depth to the family saga, Sally's daughter, played by newcomer Joey King, uncovers dark secrets about their past and begins to develop her own powers, further threatening their future.
This new urgency compels the family, including their eccentric aunts Frances (Stockard Channing) and Jet (Dianne Wiest), who also reprise their roles from the 1998 original, on a journey to the United Kingdom to confront and end the curse from its very source.
The script for the sequel was penned by a returning Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett, a writer known for "Succession."
Their story is directly based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel "The Book of Magic," which is the fourth installment in her "Practical Magic" book series.
Denise DiNovi, Sandra Bullock, and Nicole Kidman serve as Producers, with Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Donald Sabourin, and Alice Hoffman as Executive Producers.
The film aims to be a faithful continuation, blending the magic, danger, and romance that fans have come to expect from the Owens family's enchanting world.
In addition to the returning stars and Joey King and Lee Pace, the cast also includes Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod, rounding out the ensemble for this magical return.
