Taylor Swift's 'Showgirl' Album Reigns Supreme for Third Week on Billboard 200!

Taylor Swift's album, "The Life of a Showgirl," has achieved its third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, specifically for the chart dated November 1, 2025. In the week ending October 23, 2025, the album garnered 194,000 equivalent album units in the United States, representing a 43% decrease from the previous week. This accomplishment makes "The Life of a Showgirl" only the second album in 2025 to spend its initial three weeks atop the chart, following Morgan Wallen’s "I’m the Problem," which impressively dominated for its first eight weeks out of a total of 12 weeks at No. 1.
The Billboard 200 chart meticulously ranks the most popular albums weekly in the U.S. by measuring multi-metric consumption, with data compiled by Luminate. This consumption is quantified in equivalent album units, which are derived from album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Specifically, one equivalent album unit is equal to one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported on-demand official audio and video streams, or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The full, new November 1, 2025-dated chart is made public on Billboard’s website on Tuesday, October 28.
Delving into the unit breakdown for "The Life of a Showgirl" in its latest chart-topping week, SEA units constituted 156,000 (a 34% decrease), equating to 200.68 million on-demand official streams, securing its No. 1 position on the Top Streaming Albums chart for a third week. Album sales contributed 38,000 units (a 63% decrease), also earning it the No. 1 spot on the Top Album Sales chart for the third consecutive week. TEA units accounted for less than 1,000, experiencing a 42% drop.
Further down the Billboard 200 chart, the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack maintained its No. 2 position with 96,000 equivalent album units (down 8%). Morgan Wallen’s "I’m the Problem" remained at No. 3, showing a 5% increase with 83,000 units. A significant new entry in the top 10 is Tame Impala’s "Deadbeat," which debuted at No. 4, marking the band's third album to reach the top five. This is Tame Impala’s first full-length studio album in five years, earning 70,000 equivalent album units in its debut week.
The unit breakdown for Tame Impala's "Deadbeat" includes 37,000 pure album sales, securing its debut at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart. SEA units accounted for 33,000, translating to 41.72 million on-demand official streams, leading to a No. 7 debut on the Top Streaming Albums chart. TEA units contributed a negligible sum. "Deadbeat" follows Tame Impala’s previous top five projects: 2020’s "The Show Rush" (No. 3) and 2015’s "Currents" (No. 4). Its release was preceded by three charted songs: “End of Summer,” “Loser,” and “Dracula.” The album's strong first-week sales were bolstered by its diverse availability, including seven vinyl variants, five deluxe CD boxed sets (featuring a CD and branded merchandise), a standard CD, cassette, and digital download option.
Other notable albums in the top 10 include Sabrina Carpenter’s "Man’s Best Friend," holding steady at No. 5 with 43,000 units (down 5%). Cardi B’s former chart-topper "AM I THE DRAMA?" slipped from No. 4 to No. 6, earning 40,000 units (down 21%). Olivia Dean’s "The Art of Loving" moved down from No. 6 to No. 7, despite a 1% gain in its fourth week on the chart and fourth week in the top 10. SZA’s former No. 1 album "SOS" remained at No. 8 with 31,000 units (down 2%). Wallen’s other chart-topping album, "One Thing at a Time," ascended from No. 10 to No. 9 with 30,000 units (down 3%). Lastly, Alex Warren’s "You’ll Be Alright, Kid" dipped from No. 9 to No. 10, accumulating nearly 30,000 units (down 7%).
