Somaliland's Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has commenced formal consultations with lawmakers on the preparation of the 2027 national budget, outlining key priorities including economic growth, national security, public administration, and the expansion of essential public services.

Finance Minister Abdillahi Hassan Aden, alongside senior ministry officials, briefed the House of Representatives' Committee on Economy, Finance and Trade on the country's macroeconomic framework, government revenue and expenditure policies, and the strategic objectives guiding next year's fiscal plans.

The ministry disclosed that the 2027 budget is being prepared in accordance with Somaliland's Public Financial Management Law No. 75/2025, with officials emphasizing transparency, accountability, and continuous stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
