Unconfirmed reports have emerged regarding a shooting incident involving DJ Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras, outside the Carlton Centre in central Johannesburg. The incident, which is said to have occurred while he was working security, has left those close to him shaken and confused due to conflicting accounts of his condition.
According to various reports, Warras was shot, but details surrounding his state remain unclear. Some sources suggest he died at the scene, while others state he was rushed to hospital and is in critical condition. As of Tuesday afternoon, no official confirmation had been released, leaving the public in suspense.
Fellow musician The Kiffness shared details on X, stating that Warras was shot after a routine security check-in. He described the moment: "He walked out after a standard check-in and a vehicle drove past and shot at him. Terrible." Businessman Rob Hersov, identifying himself as a friend, also posted online, describing Warras as a kind and caring individual and lamenting his death in Johannesburg.
