This recent crucial meeting, confirmed by reliable presidency sources, involved President Tinubu, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, alongside other prominent political leaders from the state. The discussions, which occurred around 11 pm at the president’s official residence, were a decisive move to address the escalating tensions over leadership recognition within the state and stalled plans by lawmakers to impeach the governor.

This marks approximately the fourth time President Tinubu has stepped in to mediate the prolonged political standoff between Governor Fubara and Minister Wike.
