Re-election Boost: Tompolo's Vehicles Fuel Tinubu's Grassroots Drive in Key States!
High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo, has donated 52 vehicles to bolster President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign in Ondo and Gombe states. The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement aims to mobilize grassroots support by highlighting the administration's achievements, with state governors expressing strong commitment. This initiative seeks to convert two million registered supporters into votes through extensive door-to-door engagements.
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, political parties are intensifying their campaigns, and a significant boost has come for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (PBAT) re-election bid from High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo. As the Grand Patron of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement, Tompolo has generously provided 52 vehicles to facilitate grassroots mobilisation efforts across Ondo and Gombe states. This strategic move aims to strengthen the campaign presence and engagement with voters at a community level.
The vehicles were formally presented at distinct events held in Akure and Gombe, coinciding with the inauguration of local government coordinators for the movement. Each state received 26 vehicles, signaling a balanced approach to the mobilisation drive. Representing Tompolo, Kestin Pondi, the managing director of Tantita Security Services Limited, addressed the newly inaugurated coordinators. He strongly urged them to engage voters through extensive door-to-door campaigns in various public spaces, including communities, local government areas, and religious institutions. Pondi, speaking in Akure, emphasized the critical goal of converting the movement’s reported two million registered supporters into actual votes for President Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election, asserting that the vehicles would be instrumental in reaching even the most remote and riverine settlements across Ondo State.
During their interactions with voters, Pondi instructed the coordinators to highlight key achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration. Specific points of focus include the improved availability of fuel, the successful suspension of university strikes, and the consistent payment of salaries and pensions. These issues are intended to resonate with the electorate and encourage continued support for the President’s leadership. The comprehensive communication strategy is designed to effectively convey the administration’s impact and solicit residents’ backing for Tinubu’s re-election.
The initiative garnered appreciative responses from the governors of the beneficiary states. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State both expressed their gratitude to Tompolo and the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for the provision of vehicles and other campaign materials. Both governors publicly affirmed their strong support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid and characterized the All Progressives Congress (APC) as united and well-prepared for the 2027 elections. They also voiced confidence in the party’s prospects within their respective states, underscoring a collective commitment to the President's vision.
In Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated Ondo State’s unwavering commitment to supporting President Tinubu. He remarked that the donated vehicles would significantly enhance mobility, enabling campaign coordinators to effectively reach every community across the state. Governor Aiyedatiwa emphatically stated, “Ondo State is for Asiwaju. That’s where we stand. So, let me thank the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for the donation of these vehicles that would ease mobility and ensure that our coordinators reach every part of this state.” This statement solidified the state’s political allegiance and appreciation for the support received.
Similarly, in Gombe, Governor Yahaya highlighted a significant agricultural development programme currently being implemented in the state. This initiative, which targets farmers, herders, processors, and young people engaged in agricultural activities, is receiving substantial support through a N130 billion grant approved by the Tinubu administration. Governor Yahaya specifically noted, “Gombe State is implementing an agricultural development programme targeting farmers, herders, processors and young people engaged in agricultural activities, with support from a N130 billion grant approved by President Bola Tinubu for the initiative.” This showcased a tangible benefit derived from the federal administration’s policies.
The national coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, further amplified the call for support, urging residents of both Ondo and Gombe states to back President Tinubu. Asuku cited what he described as the administration’s impactful development initiatives being implemented across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. He pointed to the establishment of regional development commissions and the restoration of financial autonomy to local governments as clear demonstrations of the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and national progress. Asuku also cautioned voters against being swayed by opposition parties and specifically called upon residents of Gombe State to support President Tinubu for a second term, reinforcing the campaign’s message of continuity and development.
