Primark's £3 Liquid Blushes Challenge Huda Beauty: Is the Hype Real?

Beauty enthusiasts are constantly on the lookout for affordable alternatives to high-end products, and the latest buzz surrounds Primark's new makeup range. TikTok creator Sophie Swannick, known as @sophieswannickk, recently unveiled a Primark find that beauty fans are hailing as an almost identical dupe for a cult favourite, costing eight times less than its premium counterpart.
Sophie conducted a side-by-side comparison of Primark’s new £3 liquid blushes against Huda Beauty’s viral £24 Blush Filter. Primark’s collection, available in three shades—Blush, Orange, and Violet—features charming packaging and a doe-foot applicator strikingly similar to Huda's iconic design. Sophie, who acquired the full set, tested them against her preferred Huda favourites, Cotton Candy and Peach Sorbet. She noted that the high-end blushes delivered the characteristic “creamy, pigmented and dewy” finish she adores.
Upon testing the Primark blushes, Sophie acknowledged that the more affordable product was “definitely not as pigmented” as Huda Beauty's, but still described it as “very pretty” and blending “really nicely.” After applying the £3 formulas across her cheeks and nose, she expressed genuine shock at how closely the results mirrored those achieved with the premium brand. Sophie confidently declared the dupe was “not actually that far off," deeming them "a slay.” Huda Beauty’s Blush Filter is celebrated for its lightweight, buildable formula infused with finely milled micro-pearls, promising a soft-focus glow. It boasts an extensive palette of 11 shades with playful names such as Ube Cream, Black Cherry, and Bubblegum, and is currently available for £19 at Boots through a limited-time offer. Despite Primark’s version not delivering quite the same intense pigment, its £21 per tube saving has positioned it as a significant bargain for beauty lovers.
Beyond Primark, the landscape of beauty bargains is expanding. Shoppers have discovered a remarkable dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s coveted products at Home Bargains for just £1.99. The item in question is the Revolution Pro Cream Wand Trio set, frequently lauded as an excellent alternative to Charlotte Tilbury's £81 Beauty Light Wand & Hollywood Contour Kit. The Revolution set typically retails for £18, already offering a substantial saving of £63 compared to the designer version, and is also found on the Asos website for £15.50. However, a shrewd shopper from the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group pinpointed the set at Home Bargains for an astonishing £1.99, marking a colossal £79 saving against the Charlotte Tilbury original.
The hunt for luxury for less continues, as beauty enthusiasts are also flocking to Home Bargains for a skincare “holy grail” product, normally priced at £128, now available for just £27.99. This particular find even offers delivery, making high-end skincare more accessible than ever. These discoveries highlight a growing trend where savvy shoppers can achieve premium beauty results without the premium price tag.
