President Tinubu Holds Crucial Meeting With Reinstated Rivers Governor Fubara After Emergency Rule

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara made a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening. The Governor arrived alone at the seat of power around 6:20 pm to 6:30 pm and was promptly ushered into the President's office for the meeting.

While the precise reason for the high-profile visit was not immediately made public, it is widely understood to be connected to President Tinubu’s crucial role in the recent efforts to restore peace and stability within Rivers State. Discussions during the meeting were anticipated to cover various developments in the oil-rich state since Governor Fubara resumed his official duties.

This visit marks the first known meeting between Governor Fubara and President Tinubu since the Governor's reinstatement. Fubara, along with his deputy and members of the state House of Assembly, had faced suspension in March amidst a protracted political crisis that gripped the state.
