Pop Star RAYE Recovers Stolen Car With Priceless Songwriting Books: A Tale of Hope

British singer RAYE has shared uplifting news regarding the recovery of her stolen car, which notably contained her invaluable songwriting books. The artist, whose real name is Rachel Keen, had previously revealed in an Instagram post last fall that her vehicle, along with her creative works, was stolen on her birthday, leading to concerns about the timely release of her second album. She had indicated at the time that such an incident might delay the follow-up to her critically acclaimed and multi-BRIT Award-winning debut, My 21st Century Blues, which was released in 2023. The theft had indeed prompted her to temporarily halt her recording plans.
Speaking to Capital FM host Will Manning on October 27, RAYE recounted the "rollercoaster journey" of the incident. She joyfully announced that the police had contacted her a couple of months prior, informing her that the car had been found. To her immense relief, not only was the car recovered, but "not one thing had been taken out of the car. All my songwriting books were there, untouched." She emphasized a positive outlook, stating, "Everything ended well. Never give up hope."
While specific details such as a title and exact release date for her second album, currently dubbed "Album 2," are yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that the record is scheduled to drop sometime in 2026. Fans eager to support her new work can already pre-order "Album 2" via her official website. RAYE offered a first glimpse into her new material on September 19 with the track "Where Is My Husband!" This song is billed as the lead single from the upcoming record and first debuted during her performance with a brass band on Glastonbury's iconic Pyramid Stage earlier in the summer. The track has achieved significant success, peaking at No. 3 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart and reaching No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100.
To complement the release of her new music, RAYE has also announced an extensive tour titled "This Tour May Contain New Music." The tour is slated to commence in early 2026, with dates spanning across the U.K., Europe, and North America. A significant highlight of this tour will be a six-night residency at London's massive 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. Reflecting on this monumental achievement during an interview with Billboard UK at the Ivors Academy Ceremony in September, RAYE expressed that she hadn't fully "digested" the scale of it. She acknowledged the challenge, stating, "That's a big job — six nights? I've got to deliver," and added, "My mind is like, 'We need to deliver the best show we can possibly deliver.' My mind is worrying, but I'm really grateful."
