Political Power Shift: Imumolen Recognized as Accord Stakeholders' New Chair

In a significant development within the Accord Party, stakeholders convened in Keffi and officially recognized the faction led by Chris Imumolen. This recognition, according to the stakeholders, is firmly supported by a Federal High Court Order, lending legal weight to the Imumolen-led group.
During their meeting, the party stakeholders also took decisive action by suspending the faction led by Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem. A statement, signed by Ambassador Kabiru Hassan, announced the immediate suspension of Mgbudem and his deputy national chairman. The grounds for their suspension were cited as alleged anti-party activities, which reportedly undermined the party's interests.
Among the allegations leveled against the suspended party members was their purported endorsement of APGA candidate Soludo. The stakeholders further claimed that Soludo was actively working in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting a breach of loyalty to the Accord Party's principles and goals.
Furthermore, the Accord stakeholders made a noteworthy claim regarding Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, suggesting that he has expressed interest in joining their party. However, they issued a stern caution to Governor Adeleke, advising him to be vigilant of the suspended national chairman, Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem. They urged Governor Adeleke to "join an Accord party led by Chris Imumolen to avoid risking litigation that can destroy his ambition," highlighting the ongoing internal discord and potential legal ramifications within the party structure.
