Oscars Red Carpet Star: Wunmi Mosaku Shines in Stunning Louis Vuitton and Georges Chakra Looks

She attended several major events, confidently showing off her baby bump while looking elegant and radiant.
Her best moments came at the 98th Academy Awards and the Vanity Fair party, where she stood out and confirmed her status as both a talented actress and a fashion favorite.
At the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, 2026, Wunmi Mosaku wore a custom emerald-green Louis Vuitton gown designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.
Her look was styled by Shameelah Hicks and finished with jewellery from David Yurman, along with flawless makeup and elegant hair styling, making her one of the standout stars of the night.
Ayo Edebiri Mosaku attended the Oscars for the first time as a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her role as Annie in Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners.
In the movie, she plays a hoodoo practitioner and the partner of Michael B. Jordan’s character, Smoke, and she prepared for the role by studying hoodoo practices and learning a Louisiana Creole accent to make her performance more realistic.
On the red carpet, she said the experience felt like “a whirlwind” and admitted it was her first time seeing “this side of the curtain.”
She also said the role felt special to her, calling it “divinely placed,” and pointed out a surprising coincidence, the character’s name matched her favorite movie.
The Oscar nomination for Sinners was one of the biggest highlights of an already successful awards season for the film and its star, Mosaku.
Before the Oscars, Mosaku had already won two major awards and on February 22nd, 2026, she made history at the BAFTAs as the first Black British actress to win Best Supporting Actress.
She also won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the NAACP Image Awards on February 28th, 2026.
Sinners also had a huge night at the NAACP Image Awards, winning 13 out of 18 awards.
The film then made history at the Oscars with 16 nominations, the most ever for a single film.
Although Wunmi Mosaku did not take home the Oscar, she ended the awards season on a stunning high.
After the main ceremony, she made a stylish appearance at the exclusive 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, debuting another unforgettable look.
She wore a bold purple gown designed by Georges Chakra, paired with elegant jewellery from Marli New York.
Her look was completed with beautifully styled hair by Araxi Lindsey, adding the perfect finishing touch.
