Noah Kahan Shatters Records: All 21 'The Great Divide' Tracks Invade Hot 100, Artist 100 Crowned!

Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide (Mercury) has landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 389,000 equivalent units, not only marking the Vermont troubadour’s first-ever chart-topper but also delivering the biggest streaming debut of 2026.
Not bad for a guy who made his name writing five-minute, gut-punch folk songs about small-town malaise.
This remarkable debut not only signifies Kahan’s largest week ever by this metric but also represents the biggest week for any rock album since the chart began measuring by units in 2014.
A major driving force behind this success was the album's immense streaming performance. "The Great Divide" recorded an astounding 215.4 million on-demand official streams for its songs, marking the largest streaming week of any album in the current charting period.
These exceptional figures propelled Kahan from No. 24 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, where he now leads for the first time.
The Artist 100 chart comprehensively measures acts’ activity across key metrics of music consumption, including album sales, track sales, radio airplay, and streaming, providing a multidimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Kahan's dominance extended to the Billboard Hot 100, where an extraordinary 21 songs from "The Great Divide" charted simultaneously.
This includes every track from the album’s entire 17-song standard edition, alongside the four additional tracks from its deluxe version. A significant portion of these entries, 12 songs, landed within the highly competitive top 40.
Several songs appeared on the Hot 100 chart at different positions.
“Doors” ranked No. 9, while “The Great Divide” rose to No. 11 from No. 44 after previously reaching No. 6. “End of August” and “American Cars” followed at No. 14 and No. 16, with “Dashboard” at No. 19. “Porch Light” also climbed to No. 21 from No. 60.
Other songs included “Downfall” (No. 23), “Willing and Able” (No. 26), “Haircut” (No. 28), and “Paid Time Off” (No. 29). “23” and “Deny Deny Deny” landed at No. 33 and No. 34.
Further down, “Staying Still” (No. 44), “All Them Horses” (No. 45), and “We Go Way Back” (No. 48) appeared, along with “Dan” (No. 50), “Headed North” (No. 51), and “Spoiled” (No. 56).
Finally, “Lighthouse” ranked No. 65, “Orbiter” No. 79, and “A Few of Your Own” No. 81.
Before this momentous week, Kahan had charted a total of 11 songs on the Hot 100, which included "The Great Divide" and "Porch Light." With 19 new debuts this week, his career total now stands at 30 entries.
Furthermore, the song "Doors" marks the singer-songwriter’s third top 10 Hot 100 hit, following the success of his 2024 track "Stick Season" (which peaked at No. 9) and the titular "The Great Divide."
This incredible achievement places Noah Kahan among an elite group of artists, as he is only the 13th artist in the Hot 100’s nearly 68-year history to chart at least 21 songs simultaneously.
