Metal Legends Metallica Unleash Massive 2027 North American Tour Dates
Metallica has announced an extension of their M72 World Tour into 2027, adding 12 new North American dates with support from Limp Bizkit and Avatar. The legendary band will visit cities including Vancouver, San Diego, and Cleveland, continuing their massive global trek which has already reached nearly five million fans. Tickets for these new shows go on sale to the general public on September 25th.
Veteran hard rock band Metallica is extending their expansive M72 World Tour into 2027, announcing 12 fresh dates for the massive global outing. The tour, which initially launched in April 2023, shows no signs of slowing down, with the newly added shows scheduled to pick up again in May and June of next year.
The 2027 North American leg of the tour will commence on May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Metallica will then proceed through a series of cities across the Southwest, Midwest, and Canada that they have not yet visited on this tour. These include San Diego, California; El Paso, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Raleigh, North Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; Buffalo, New York; Madison, Wisconsin; and Cleveland, Ohio. The extensive run will conclude on June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Adding to the excitement, Limp Bizkit and Avatar have been confirmed as the opening acts for these upcoming shows, promising an unforgettable experience for fans. The Live Nation-promoted M72 tour has already been incredibly successful, having played 99 shows in 26 countries to nearly five million fans across the globe to date.
Tickets for the newly announced dates will be available starting with fan club presales on Monday, September 21, at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week, leading up to the general public on-sale date on September 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Further ticket information can be found via official channels.
Before embarking on these new M72 dates, the James Hetfield-led group is also gearing up for a significant 24-show “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. This residency is scheduled to run from October 1, 2026, through March 13, 2027, setting the stage for their continued touring efforts.
